Dr Venkatachalam holds a PhD in Finance and Accounting from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. His research involves empirical studies on financial disclosures and earnings management in international settings and the Indian context. He has taught in IIMB’s executive education programs and introductory courses in IIMB’s one-year executive MBA program. He has been the recipient of the Mirae Asset Foundation Doctoral Fellowship and was invited to the prestigious Hawaii Accounting Research Doctoral Consortium. His prior work experience includes audit assurance at Deloitte Haskins & Sells and he has been integral to setting up the Centre for Capital Markets at IIM Bangalore.
