BIO
Vinayak’s research interests are in the area of supply chain collaboration, service parts management, and addressing security and privacy issues in supply chains. He conducts this work in industry sectors that include defense, aviation, airlines, computers and automobiles. His research work focuses on airline flight delays, and was honored with the best contribution award by the Airline Group of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (AGIFORS), a professional society dedicated to the advancement and application of operational research in the airline industry. His research has been published in premier academic journals such as Management Science and Operations Research. He received the Dantzig Dissertation award for his PhD dissertation.
