ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The 2-Year Flagship MBA program is a full time , residential MBA Degree program designed by experts in the education domain and industry stalwarts. The programme is curated to facilitate holistic career development with strategic, analytical and future-focused leadership skills.

BITSoM offers 5 distinct specializations in :

Students have the option of selecting up to 2 specializations in the final year of the program. 

Block teaching is a style of teaching where lectures, tutorials and other forms of teaching are provided in an intensive block, over the course of few weeks. ​Here, at BITSoM, we follow the same style and two weeks makes up one block where you are taught a core course and a WaW course.

The planned student intake for the Class of 2026 is upto 160.

Yes. All students who complete the credit requirements of the 2 year program will be awarded a post graduate degree of Master’s in Business Administration (MBA).

FACULTY

Courses are taught by faculty handpicked from some of the best business schools across the world , following our propreitary system of Block Teaching pedagogy. Faculty will be available on campus while they are teaching their course.

All faculty will be accessible outside of class hours. Faculty will announce their office hours at the start of the course. Students can seek an appointment with the faculty/their Academic Associates. They will also be available on email and other electronic mediums post the course.

FEES AND FINANCING

The one-time admission fee is part of the total cost of the program. Kindly note that meals and laundry services will be billed separately.

The timelines for responding to the offer will be mentioned in the offer letter. Subsequently,candidates can also log in to the student dashboard for accessing this information or reach out to the admissions team on admissions@bitsom.edu.in or +91 80500 12004. 

At the time of accepting offer, candidates are required to pay INR 1,50,000. The rest of the amount will be payable before the start of the program. The timelines and more details regarding payment of balance amount will be accessible on the student dashboard post acceptance of offer and will also be notified via email.

Students are required to deposit the fees by logging in to their dashboard and clicking on ‘Make Payment’ tab. This will redirect to the payment page and enable applicants to deposit the fee. We accept fees through NEFT/ RTGS/ IMPS/ Cheque/ Credit Card and UPI.

BITSoM provides financial assistance in the form of scholarships to deserving students. Additionally, the institute has tie ups with leading banks that provide exclusive education loan options to the students.

Applicants can apply for an education loan after accepting the admission offer and paying the one time admission fee. BITSoM has tie ups with leading banks that offer exclusive interest rates and terms for BITSoM students.

Yes, we welcome candidates sponsored by companies. These candidates will be considered at par with non-sponsored candidates and the application process will remain common irrespective of nature of sponsorship.

No, the fee is exclusive of laptop. Students are expected to have a laptop with basic office software.

No, the Application Fee is non-refundable.

Yes, the One-Time Admission fee is refundable contingent to the institute’s refund policy.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Yes, BITSoM offers scholarships to students. All applicants are considered by default for Merit Scholarships. Candidates seeking Merit-cum-Need based scholarships must fill the ‘Scholarship Section’ in the Application Form.

Candidates can apply for Merit-cum-Need Scholarships by filling in the required information in the Scholarship Section of the Application Form.

Scholarship Decisions will be announced a month in advance from the date of class commencement.

Yes, candidates that will be offered Merit-cum-Need scholarships must submit corresponding documents during the Registration Process or on demand by the college authorities at any time during the admissions process.

To be eligible for the Merit-cum-Need based scholarship, the applicant’s family income(Parents if unmarried & Spouse – if married) including applicant’s personal income should not be more than INR 18 Lakhs annually.

ADMISSIONS

To be eligible to apply to BITSoM , a student must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university before the start date of the desired intake year.  Students completing their undergraduate degree in the summer of 2025 are also eligible to apply. 

It is mandatory for candidates to provide valid CAT/GMAT/GRE scores for completing their application. Round 1/Round 2 applicants can submit their application by availing the option of ‘updating test scores later’. However, all such candidates must update their respective scores by 31st March 2025, failing which their application will be disqualified.

BITSoM evaluates candidate’s application holistically. While a standardized test score is mandatory, there is no minimum score required by prospective students to go ahead with their applications. There are no sectional cut-offs either.

Candidates must visit www.mba.com and select ‘search by institute’ option and type ‘BITS’ in the search bar. Subsequently, they must select BITS, Mumbai and their official scorecards will be sent to BITSoM.

BITSoM will accept Online GMAT/GMAT Focus test scores for the class commencing in the year 2025.

Please note that the BITSoM code for the GRE is 2855. For more information on the GRE, please visit www.ets.org. Every applicant must ensure that the official score report is sent directly to BITSoM by the testing agency.

Yes , BITSoM will accept the newer iterations of GMAT and GRE. An option to choose the same will available in the application form.

No, only CAT 2024 scores are valid for the class commencing in the year 2025.
GMAT/GRE scores are valid only for 5 years. Your GMAT/GRE score should be valid at the time of course commencement.

Yes, only Round 1/Round 2 applicants can submit their application by selecting the option ‘update test scores later’. However, all such candidates must update their respective scores by 31st March 2025, failing which their application will be disqualified.

BITSoM has a 2-step application process. It begins with submitting an online application form ,followed by a personal interview for shortlisted candidates.

No, the online application portal allows you to save sections of your application so that  you can log in multiple times at your own comfort to complete your application as per the timelines.

BITSoM values robustness in its candidates, thus It is highly recommended to mention extra-curricular activities (if any). However, it is not mandatory and will not affect the validity or the completeness of your application.

Yes, any work experience is welcome. Candidates can enter details of their family business experience in the work experience section of the application form.

Only full-time engagement qualifies as work experience. However, internships & part-time experience are useful in understanding a candidate’s profile. These can be mentioned in the “Internships” section of the application form.

Each round of admissions gives prospective applicants an equal opportunity to get into BITSoM. However, since the admissions are given on a rolling basis, it is highly recommended that you apply in the earlier rounds.

No, that is not required. All documents are to be uploaded on the application portal online.

Applicants are required to enter the details for the Letter of Recommendation (LOR) in the application form. After saving this information, an email containing a link to the LOR submission form will be sent to the referee’s email address. The referee must click the link, complete the form, and submit the LOR. The LOR must be submitted within 3 days of the application submission, but the referee can also submit it before the application submission.

No. Students can only apply once in an admissions cycle. However, it is possible to apply again for the next academic year.

Candidates will be notified via email about the status of their candidature.

Interviews will be conducted either in person or virtually. In case an in-person interview is scheduled, the location, time and other logistics will be communicated to candidates well in advance.

No. There are no quotas at BITSoM and all applicants are required to follow the regular application process.

Application Form cannot be edited after submission. Hence, candidates will not be able to add/delete any information after submitting their application.

No, currently BITSoM does not have a deferral policy. In case of special circumstances, please write to us on admissions@bitsom.edu.in and we will get back to you accordingly.

The referral process is a non mandatory requirement for applying to BITSoM. Candidates willing to submit a recommendation can enter the details for the Letter of Recommendation (LOR) in the application form. After saving this information, an email will be sent to the referee’s email address containing a link to the LOR submission form. The referee must click the link, complete the form, and submit the LOR. The LOR must be submitted within 3 days of the application submission. The referee can submit LOR before the application submission as well.

Applicants with no work experience may opt for a faculty member/principal/head of the department from their college of graduation/post graduation. Applicants with work experience may opt for their current/former reporting manager/supervisor/senior colleague.

No. We recommend that you opt for someone with whom you have shared a professional relationship. If you are in a family business, we advise getting referrals from stakeholders/vendors other than your family members such as business partners, vendors, clients, suppliers etc.

An applicant can choose a former senior work colleague or former reporting manager as a referee. In case this is not possible, you can opt for an academic referee (former professor/HOD/Principal) from your last attended college.

CAMPUS, RESIDENCE AND OTHER FACILITIES

Yes, the campus in Kalyan is now functional. The class of 2026 will be hosted from the BITS Pilani’s Mumbai campus near Kalyan in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region(MMR).

As it’s a residential MBA program, students must stay within the student residence/hostel provided by the campus. Each student gets a single occupancy, fully furnished room with an attached bathroom. 

Yes. We can arrange for a visit to the student residence/hostel, with prior notice, along with a campus tour, at an available timeslot before the start of the session. 

The student residence/hostel is on campus grounds with the cafeteria, library, classes, gym, and other facilities accessible at walking distance.
All student residences/hostels are air-conditioned and fully furnished, with WiFi. There is also a doctor on call and paid laundry service. The residential complex is equipped with 24×7 security for the safety of the students.
Apart from access to the classrooms and the library; all faculty, staff, and students have access to dining facilities, a cafe, first–aid, a wellness center, an outdoor sports court, and an indoor gym.

COVID-19 POLICY

It is mandatory for students who join the program to have a health insurance cover with a COVID cover. You need to share a copy of your insurance policy at the time of taking the admission. In case you do not have one, you can get an insuarance policy from BITSoM’s insurance provider at extra cost.

All government guidelines with regards to safety of students will be followed at the campus, hostel and travel.

CAREER & PLACEMENTS

Yes, BITSoM offers campus placements.

Placements will start in November/December every year, for final year students. While a few companies may start coming in from October onwards, the placements will continue till the end of March.

Yes, the BITSoM- MBA programme will enable career shifts across function & industry.

CURRICULUM

A fee of Rupees Five Hundred only will be charged for re-evaluation. If the student requests for a re-evaluation, the entire submission will be open for re grading, which may lead to an increase or decrease in scores. If the re-evaluation is considered inapt the amount/re-evaluation fee will NOT be refunded, and if the scores change (increase) the fee will be refunded.

Yes, all required documents must be presented in English. If the original copies are in a regional language, they must be translated and verified by the respective organisation.
