In a world where we’re bombarded with ads on TV, social media, and even when we’re just walking down the street, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for brands to stand out. But with a little bit of creativity and a lot of imagination, brands can create ads that not only capture our attention but also leave a lasting impression.
There have been multiple Indian advertisements that had a way of cutting through the clutter and leaving an impact. Here’s a quick rundown of some of the most iconic ones that are sure to leave you with a smile.
Let’s start with Bisleri’s “Badal the Camel” ad. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re in for a treat. The ad follows Badal, a thirsty camel in the desert who goes to great lengths (or should we say heights) to get his hands on a bottle of Bisleri water. This ad is a perfect example of how a simple concept can be executed brilliantly to create a memorable ad that tugs at your heartstrings.
Center Fruit’s “Zubaan pe lagaam” ad campaign – The ads always feature a person in a sticky situation, whether it’s a bride whose in-laws are grilling her, or a man who’s late for a meeting. And then, like a superhero, Center Fruit comes to the rescue with its refreshingly fruity flavour that instantly makes everything better. If only real life was that simple!
Who can forget the iconic 5 Star chocolate ads? From the Ramesh-Suresh duo to the more recent “Jo khaye, kho jaye” campaign, 5 Star never fails to deliver a fun and quirky ad that leaves you craving chocolate like nothing else.
Ah, Washing Powder Nirma! Wake us up in the middle of night and we would still be able to recite the Jingle without skipping a beat.
Whether it’s a KitKat bar being used as a drumstick or Snickers turning people into divas, these ads have managed to capture our attention with their quirky humour and unforgettable catchphrases – “Have a break, have a KitKat” and “You’re not you when you’re hungry”.
These ads are a testament to the power of creativity in advertising. It’s not just about capturing our attention – it’s about making us feel something. Whether it’s laughter, nostalgia, or even a little bit of sadness, ads that connect with us emotionally are the ones that we’re more likely to remember. Because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to feel something other than annoyance when they see an ad, right?
